Reputation Management (POV): FORD Focus
Problem
-Ford is aware of a total two allegations of soreness resulting from an unlatched door bouncing back when the customer attempted to close it, and one accident allegation when an unlatched door swung open and struck the adjacent vehicle as the driver was pulling into a parking space.
Situation
545,906 vehicles in North America have been recalled. Ford needs the approval of Mark R. Rosekind, who is the administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. President Obama himself appointed Dr. Rosekind. Therefore, I have conducted 3 key phases that will show Dr. Mark R. Rosekind, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and our customers that here at Ford, we make safety a top priority.
My Approach
1.) Ford will issue a recall to all Ford Focus models between the years 2012-2013 free at charge. Dealers will replace all four doors latches at no cost to the customer in a given period.
2.) Ford will address the recalls on our website and all social media platforms including Facebook and twitter. Our twitter account lacks any negative news, which can be determined, that Ford has something to hide. Ford needs to be more transparent with their customers on what is going on with our vehicles.
3.) Ford will stop all funding for Ford Focus prints and commercial advertisements. This will show Dr. Rosekind, The National High Traffic Safety Administration, and our customers Ford is taking this situation seriously.
If we utilize these key phases, this will keep Ford and Ford Focus out of a crisis.
